Monosound Recordings on the Sofa
InSITE Reporter Hannah Packwood interviews Joe and Steve from the newly formed Monosound Recording Company
Monosound Recordings is a new alternative / folk / acoustic label set up in Hereford by Joe Schiavon and Steve McGowan – two young men with nothing but a dream, an empty garage and some change from their pocket money.

They're currently in the process of building their roster to four, possibly five acts, with their first release scheduled for December. Most of August was spent listening to demo cds and glued to MySpace trying to find the best undiscovered talent to join the label.
Whilst they have been scouring the country for unseen talent, they are also heavily committed to supporting the local scene, and are delighted that two of the four acts they’ve signed so far are based in Hereford. Gossamer Albatross, the musical moniker of 18-year-old Lewis Gordon and friends will be the first release on the label. His CD will be out at the start of December, and he’ll be touring the UK to promote the release.
