Headway Support FOR Elliot & Dan
Dan & Elliot tell their stories about recovery from brain injuries and the support available at Herefordshire Headway
Dan and Elliot tell their stories about how they received and how they are making a recovery from brain injuries. Both lads came to Youth Times with their support worker and made digital stories using their photographs and memories. The stories about the events that led to their accidents as well as the long journey of recovery needs to be heard in their own words.
If you are a young person who has a story to tell get in touch with us to find out how it can be heard on InSITE info@insitemag.net
Herefordshire Headway offers support to adults with acquired brain injury and their carers. We help people between 18 and 65 years who have had accidents, illnesses, strokes or brain haemorrhages, and also provide help and support for their families and carers. Herefordshire Headway was set up in 1989, as an independent local charity, being affiliated to National Headway. We are concerned with all aspects of the care and rehabilitation of adults with acquired brain injury, whatever the cause, who live in Herefordshire. At present we have between 80 and 90 members who attend our day centre regularly.
